Open houses are a great way to learn about different neighborhoods and their price ranges. To share with you a few tips when walking through Open Houses:
1) Don’t be afraid to ask questions to learn about houses. Even it is not the right floor plan for you, you can still learn what kind of quality does this house has that worth listing so much. For example, does it has central heat or wall unit? Does it has attic or crawlspace to ease of remodeling in the future…etc?
2) Have a sense of the traffic, they could be your competitors when you see the right house in the same neighborhood.
3) Talk to a lender if they are at the open house, get a sense of what is the interest rate and if they have any special promotions with low interest rate programs going on.
