How to Clean Your Air Conditioner Coils

You might want to be alert with the heat wave coming this week, so let's prepare your A/C to work well. Here is how you can clean air-conditioner coils. Here are the tools you will need: Screwdriver, hose, and rake (if needed).

Step 1: Clear all the leaves nearby the condenser. Especially, the sticks, weeds, and other debris.

Step 2: Turn off the power to the unit by flipping the switch in the outer electrical box.

Step 3: Get the hose and remove any nozzles on the hose. Remember not to use any high pressure or a power wash to the A/C coil

Step 4: Gently rinse away all the dirt. Start from the top then work your way down.

Step 5: Turn the power on the replace the cover on the electrical box.

Lastly: Give a lot of time for the condenser to dry before using. Especially for those that are not located under the sun.
