Trey Zhao may be currently working alongside industry leader Helen Chong as a real estate agent at Haylen Group, but he was Helen’s client first. While working with Helen, Trey was highly impressed with her passion for excellent client services, her high ethical standards, and with the core values that the rest of Helen’s team embraces. So, when given the opportunity in 2018, he jumped at the opportunity to join Haylen Group.
Originally from China, Trey came to the United States as a young boy in 1998, settling with his family in Fremont, CA. He attended UC Santa Cruz, and the BA in Economics that he earned there has helped him to think bigger in terms of the micro and macro economics that affect the housing market, which informs the value he brings to his clients in his real estate career. Trey comes from the investment side of real estate, spending two years helping relatives and friends fix and flip properties before getting his agents license. Thanks to this background, Trey understands the process from both perspectives, and he can help buyers purchase a home with the best bargain or help sell a house at the market peak.
As an agent, Trey knows the value of constantly educating himself about the real estate process. He knows that before he can effectively break down complex subjects to clients, he first needs to understand them himself. To that end, he puts great importance in focusing on the details and looking at things on a deeper, more analytical, level, which helps greatly in determining current property value, crafting a competitive offer, writing and negotiating a contract, and many more aspects of the complicated real estate process.
Trey has been described as ethical, professional, determined, and a strong and focused leader. When he’s not servicing clients, Trey enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, biking, travel, being a foodie, and taking salsa dance lessons.
